Get in on one of the best beauty sales of the year!
Sephora’s Beauty Insider event happens every six months, giving all of their insiders up to 20% off but at least 10% off of their purchase. This sale runs similar to the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. Those who are part of the highest reward tier can shop first (Rouge), then VIB’s, and finally ending with Insiders. The perk of working your way to Rouge is that when the sale happens, you get first dibs on products and have a longer window to shop.
This year, the tiers can shop as follows:
Rouge 20% - April 9th - April 19th
VIB 15% - April 13th - April 19th
Insider 10% - April 15th - April 19th
Since there are thousands of products to look through, both in Sephora stores and on their website, I wanted to put together this Sale Guide to give recommendations and reviews for my absolute favorite products.
Things I Use Daily
Mascara - Better Than Sex - This stuff is amazing. It doesn’t clump, doesn’t flake, and has the darkest black tint that I love. Also sharing the waterproof version, which I have worn to both water parks and for my wedding. Highly recommend both!
Facial Serum - Lancome Genifique - Okay ladies, this stuff is the magic potion you have been searching for. I began using this serum on a whim, and within a couple weeks my skin tone was more even, texture was smoother, pores smaller, and fine lines improved. I use every morning, but you can use morning and night if you prefer or wants to see results faster.
Lip Color - Extra Lip Tint - I found this lip product during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale a few years ago and instantly got addicted. This product is the perfect mix between a lipstick and Chapstick, giving you a sheer hint of color, shine, and moisture.
Eyeshadow Palette - In Bloom - This is the perfect palette, offering a mix of matte and shimmery shades. The shades are neutral and buildable and pigmented just enough that I can do an everyday or a night out look with the same shades.
Brow Gel - Gimme Brow - This tinted, volumizing eyebrow gel is one of my all time favorite products. I use this even on “no makeup” makeup days. If you are like me, you don’t have a very steady hand with a brow pencil. I cant get my brows to look even, no matter now hard I try. This brow gel swipes on similar to a mascara, gives a natural darkening effect, gives natural volume to the brows, and holds them in place. I use shade 3.
Face Wash - Confidence In a Cleanser - Ever get out of the shower and still have mascara on your face? I used to have that happen all the time, and the last thing I want to do is wash my face after washing my face! Enter this cleanser, which I received a free sample of and haven’t stopped using since! This IT Cosmetics cleanser gets ALL of the makeup, dirt, and grime off of my face, leaving nothing behind. Bonus, it is super moisturizing and makes my skin look and feel amazing right out of the shower.
Blush - Orgasm - This blush is a cult favorite, and I definitely know why! This peachy pink shade looks great with my skin tone and has a bit of golden shimmer in it.
Eyeshadow Primer - Primer Potion, Anti-Aging - This is the primer that I am currently using and one of two that I rotate between.
Facial Sunscreen - Unseen Sunscreen - Behold the do-it-all facial product. This stuff gives great SPF coverage but works like a primer under makeup, minimizing oil. This is yet another product that I should probably use all year, but I use this product daily in the summer months only. It is clear, more like a gel, not white like a normal sunscreen, so no need to worry about streaks.

Facial Moisturizer - Confidence In a Cream - This stuff saves my skin every winter. I don’t find that I need moisturizer in the summer unless I have had too much sun, so this isn’t a year round product for me. As soon as the weather turns toward winter though, this is the first product I reach for. This moisturizer has multiple skin benefits and I love the mild scent. I find this moisturizer to be on the richer side, but it doesn’t make my skin look oily. This face cream delivers all of the moisture my skin needs all season.
Shadow Primer - Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base - When you have a long day ahead or need your eye makeup to stay put for girls night out, this stuff is what you want to reach for! I use the original white primer, which doesn’t show its white color once rubbed in. however, if you prefer something to match your skin tone, they have a few options for that as well! This stuff goes on so smooth and holds my eye makeup like glue. No fallout or fading all day/night!
Tweezer - Perfection Point - When you need a touch-up in between brow appointments, these tweezers are the best I have found. The pointed edge is able to grab onto even the finest out of place brows.
Face Mask - Original Skin Retexturizing Mask - The perfect companion to your bubble bath, this pretty pink facial clay mask packs a punch. It draws out impurities, shrinks your pores, and makes your skin smooth and even toned.
Facial Scrub - Microdelivery - I use this gentle scrub a few times a week to make sure I really buff off any dead skin cells. The beads are so small and fine that it doesn’t feel like your typical scrub when using it, but the results are amazing. Smoother and brighter skin with regular use.
Dry Shampoo - Pret-a-Powder - This dry shampoo was recommended to me by my stylist, after I mentioned that I hated dry shampoos. The ones I had used prior looked so powdery in my hair and just felt so thick and yucky. My head would itch every time I used them. I am happy to report that this one is different! It does go on a bit white, but once I let it sit for a minute to soak up the oils and then rub it in and there is no white residue left behind! It also gives my volume back and feels soft, not gritty like some dry shampoos.
Lip Plumper - Lip Injection - Want fuller lips but doing like the price tag or thought of actual lip injections? Then this gloss is going to be your best friend! If we are going out for girls night or date night I use this gloss which gives my lips a pretty intense tingly feeling before magically plumping my lips to perfection. Added bonus, it causes them to get a bit flushed as well, adding a nice pop of color!
Setting Powder - All Nighter - This pressed setting powder by Urban Decay is my go-to for both setting makeup and stopping the shine on no makeup days.
